RISHEE Kangra — Academic & Training Arm

The Regionall Institute for Safety, Health, Environment & Empowerment (RISHEE) Kangra is EDMRC’s academic partner, delivering structured training programmes that convert field experience into transferable professional competencies.

Current Offerings

Aapda Mitra Certification Training: NDMA-framework community volunteer training covering search & rescue, first aid, incident command, hazard assessment, and community preparedness. Duration: Foundation training (4–6 weeks) with specialisation modules.

AapdaPAR Coordinator Training: Intensive training for panchayat-level programme coordinators covering CBDRM methodology, VDMP preparation, IRT formation, community mobilisation, and programme management.

Specialised Workshops: Fire safety and firefighting, HAM radio operation and emergency communications, GIS-based hazard mapping, drone operations for disaster assessment, and first response medical training.

Pipeline Programmes

PG Diploma / MBA in Disaster Management: A 30-seat AICTE-compliant programme being developed for launch at the EDMRC facility. Infrastructure planning and development is in progress to follow AICTE area norms with transparent proportionate calculations.

Cross-Cultural Experiential Learning Internships and Corporate Training Vertical (via CIEEL): Field Immersion Cohorts, Cross-Cultural Leadership Sprints, and CSR Programme Design workshops for corporate clients. Revenue ring-fenced at 30% for student scholarship funding.
